Mahmut, who lives with his family in Şanlıurfa, is a successful blacksmith. Mahmut's son Yusuf has reached marriageable age, and they decide to ask for the hand of the neighbor girl he has had his heart set on for a long time. The families agree, and the wedding date is set.
